Training done, now for the real thing....

Yipeee...just finished my last training session. I did an 85km ride to Vinet and back. It was a really beautiful ride. I followed the Isere all the way there and at one point I had walnut groves on my right, and the river and the Vercors mountain range on my left. Not bad.

It was really hot though (around 28 degrees) and as a Northern European, I struggle in this heat.

I am pleased that the training is over and feel prepared for the ride now, though I know that it will be hard.

An enooooormous thank you to all of my wonderful friends and family who have supported me in this project but especially Mrs C, who has had to to face her own challenge of looking after our small "tribe" of children on her own while I am off training on my bike.

The total so far raised is just under 4000€ which will go to Arthritis charities in the UK and France.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported me so far

Andy
