Rode up to St Nizier (beginning of the village at 850m) - it was hoooooorible. Never felt so cold in my life - had to turn around at 850m cos I just couldn't carry on. Not the greatest idea to wear shorts though. Three hours later and I still feel like a block of ice beginning to thaw!
